Inspiring writers since 2002, it is our mission at the Olive Press to provide writing resources of the highest quality to homeschoolers, parents, and educators. We currently offer online courses for middle-elementary through high school students. In addition, we publish professional writing resources designed both to instruct and to motivate students of all skills and abilities.
In every book published at the Olive Press, we create fresh, original material, along with additional resources, such as step-by-step instruction through the writing process and detailed sections on spelling, grammar, and mechanics. Many of our books are packed with innovative lesson plans and student samples.
In every lesson of our online classes, we present inspiring topics designed to spark ideas for even the most reluctant of writers. We also tailor personalized instruction for each student by evaluating grammar and mechanics in the context of writing, as well as offering suggestions on content, structure, organization, and style.
In every course, we follow the latest guidelines for research instruction from the Modern Language Association, whose most recent standards were published in the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 7th Edition (2009.)
